Description

Ubiquitinous metalloproteinase that is involved in diverse functions such as remodeling of the vasculature, angiogenesis, tissue repair, tumor invasion, inflammation, and atherosclerotic plaque rupture. As well as degrading extracellular matrix proteins, can also act on several nonmatrix proteins such as big endothelial 1 and beta-type CGRP promoting vasoconstriction.

Western blot analysis of extracts from CHO-K1 (B) and CHO-K1 transfected by MMP-2 fragment(A) cell lysates using MMP-2 mouse mAb (1:2000 diluted). Predicted band size:30KDa. Observed band size:30KDa.
Immunofluorescent analysis of Hela cells fixed fixed by anhydrous methanol at -20℃ and using MMP-2 mouse mAb (dilution 1:50). DAPI was used to stain nucleus (blue).
